This policy applies to every order placed with Traditions Supply LLC and forms part of our Terms of Service. Please read the delivery inspection steps below before your shipment arrives — they protect your ability to make a claim.
Email exec@traditions-supply.com with your quote or invoice number, the item(s) involved, and clear photos. We handle the rest. Do not return, discard, or install any item before you hear back from us — doing so may void the claim.
1. Inspect your delivery
Cabinets ship flat-packed in cardboard boxes on a freight truck. You or someone you trust must be there at delivery and must look the shipment over before signing the delivery receipt.
- Count the boxes against the delivery paperwork.
- Check every box for crushing, punctures, water staining, or opened seams.
- If anything is damaged or missing, write it on the delivery receipt before you sign — for example, “2 boxes crushed” or “1 box short.” Photograph the damage and the shipment while it is still on the truck.
- You may refuse a shipment that is clearly and badly damaged. Note the reason on the receipt and contact us the same day.
A delivery receipt signed without notes is treated by freight carriers as proof the shipment arrived in good condition. If damage is not written down at delivery, our ability to recover it — and to replace your product free of charge — is significantly limited. It takes two minutes and it is the single most useful thing you can do.
Damage found after opening
If you find damage once the boxes are open, tell us in writing within 5 business days of delivery. Keep the product, the boxes, and all packing material until the claim is closed — the carrier may need to inspect them.
2. Damaged or defective product
If an item arrives damaged, or turns out to be defective in material or workmanship, we replace it at no cost to you — no restocking fee, no return shipping charge, and nothing for you to send back. Send photos and a short description and we open the claim on your behalf.
Where only one component is affected — a door, a drawer front, a hinge, a molding — the standard fix is replacing that component rather than the whole cabinet.
3. Returns
Changed your mind, over-ordered, or picked the wrong size? We accept returns of eligible, unused stock product within 14 days of delivery. Every return needs a Return Authorization from us before anything ships back.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Request window | Within 14 days of delivery, in writing |
| Condition | Unopened, unassembled, uninstalled, unmodified, in the original undamaged box, resalable |
| Authorization | A Return Authorization number is required before you ship. Unauthorized returns are refused. |
| Restocking fee | 25% of the product price |
| Shipping | Original delivery charges are not refundable. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you. |
| Refund | Back to your original payment method within 10 business days of the return arriving and passing inspection |
Returns are inspected on arrival. Items that show up assembled, damaged in return transit, or outside the condition above may be refused or reduced further.
Not eligible for return
- Assembled, installed, modified, cut, trimmed, drilled, or finished product
- Custom, made-to-order, and special-order items, including custom sizes and finishes
- Moldings, fillers, and panels that have been cut to fit
- Opened decorative hardware, functional hardware, and lighting
- Clearance, closeout, and overstock items — sold as-is, final sale
- Anything returned without authorization or after the 14-day window
None of these exclusions apply to damaged or defective product, which is always covered under Section 2.
4. Changes and cancellations
You can change or cancel an order at no charge any time before it is released to our supplier — usually within one business day of payment. After that, a cancellation is handled as a return under Section 3, and a shipment refused without cause is treated the same way.
Cabinets are made to order in the door style and color you pick, so please confirm your finish carefully. We send samples on request, and we recommend ordering one before committing to a full kitchen.
5. Warranty
Our products carry the original manufacturer’s limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Traditions Supply handles warranty claims for our customers — you deal with us, not the manufacturer.
Covered
Defects in material or workmanship under normal residential use, for the original purchaser, at the original installation address. The remedy is repair or replacement of the affected part or unit, as determined by the manufacturer.
Not covered
- Normal wear, and the natural variation in wood grain, color, and figure — including color changing over time with light exposure
- Damage from moisture, humidity, standing water, steam, or extreme temperature
- Improper installation, alteration, or use of unapproved hardware or fasteners
- Abuse, neglect, accidents, harsh cleaning products, or commercial use
- Product not paid for in full
Limits
Warranty coverage applies to the product itself. It does not cover removal, reinstallation, finishing, countertop removal or replacement, plumbing, electrical, labor, or any other installation or downstream cost. The warranty is non-transferable. Our total liability on any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products at issue.
6. How to file a claim
- Email exec@traditions-supply.com with your quote or invoice number.
- Attach photos: a close-up of the damage or defect, one of the full item, and one of the box including any shipping labels.
- Tell us what you would like — a replacement, a replacement part, or a return.
- We reply within 1 business day with the next step. Please don’t send anything back or throw anything away until we do.
Questions before you order? We would rather answer them now than process a return later.
